Biography:

Actor and writer - theatre, film, television and radio. Screenplays, articles and radio documentary. I have also directed theatre and run workshops.

Some days I might achieve a moment of art. Mostly I see myself as an artisan, struggling to find the balance between:

Earning a living.

Activities:

During the 1970's, and having worked in Europe & America, Philip first appeared on TV in such classics as "Dixon of Dock Green", "Dr.Who", and "The Monocled Mutineer".

He's featured in "Brookside", "Minder", "Van Der Valk", "Only Fools & Horses", "Inspector Morse", "Boon", "Between the Lines", "Chancer", "The Ruth Rendell Mysteries", "Jonathan Creek", "The Bill", "Casualty", "Hamish Macbeth" and "Sharpe's Gold". More recently, regular appearances in "Bad Girls" & "The Bench".

Films include "Gulliver's Travels" for Disney, and "Bugs", Forever Young (1984), M. BUTTERFLY (1993), Les Miserables (1998), The Emperor's New Clothes (2001); theatre includes "Pied Piper" and "Black Snow" at the National Theatre. For Radio 4, he researched, wrote and presented "In Belloc's Footsteps".
