Name: Lillian (lyw) Wong
Nationality: Chinese-Canadian
Location: Toronto, Canada
Profession: Writer

Education:
B.A. English, York Uni.
Creative Writing Progrm at York Uni - 3 years.
Workshop participant and leader - 10 years.

Biography:

lyw spent her post-University writing career publishing pieces of poetry and short fiction in literary journals such as, beet-red, INK, the Dandelion, the Diviners and Existere. She also did a brief run of poetry readings in her local cafe scene.

lyw has led two writing workshops within several metro high schools. Since then, she has been working on two larger works, "Faustus, your daughter" and a mock-comic book novel, "Spacegirls." She has worked in songwriting and playwriting and does freelance work in biography blurbs and press kits.

In order to motivate herself, she balances her writing career with studies in that which is physically engaging: drum lessons, tai chi, breakdancing, boxing, salsa -- a path that has been critical in the development of her latest work, a new theme driven once through the body and twice through the brain into the poetic form and website called: "This Business of Dance and Music."
