Education:

Biography:

"I have been writing articles for newspapers since I was 14 years old.

Initially attracted to many different arts, I first attended university in an accelerated program for dramatic arts and communications, which included writing, film and television. While at university, I worked in many studio and stage productions (mentoring under J. Paul Nickell) and at the local ABC affiliate.

Post-graduation, I attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City then worked with a professional repertory company, a public broadcasting company and later with a motion picture company.

At this point, I decided to concentrate on writing and have continued to write articles, copy and supply photographs for a variety of magazines, newspapers, clients and websites since 1981.

My first book was recently published and I have another completed and ready for publication in 2005."

Brandon Wilson, an adventure-travel writer whose stories have appeared in many national magazines, newspapers and on Internet sites, is author of the recently published Yak Butter Blues: A Tibetan Trek of Faith.

He is passionate about inspiring others with the possibility of peace and self-discovery through the simple act of long-distance trekking.

Although already a voracious explorer of over ninety countries, his Tibetan odyssey of walking 1000-kilometers opened his eyes to the deep satisfaction of traveling "one-step-at-a-time."

By slowing down, he believes, we absorb the hidden "magic" in the world. We travel outside—while traveling within–on these physical, mental and spiritual odysseys.

While not writing from his Hawaii base, Wilson has trekked three other major pilgrimage trails: the famed Camino de Santiago across Spain, St. Olav’s Way across Norway, and he is the first American to complete the ninth century, 1150-mile Via Francigena from England to Rome.

His photographs have won awards from National Geographic Traveler and Islands magazines.
